On Saturday, 1st March, two teams of intrepid Home-Start Olympians braved the cold and took part in the Pancake Olympics in Littlehampton High Street.

As first timers at the event, we didn't really know what to expect and were slightly worried, but we needn't have been. It was a lot of fun!

Our first event, curling, was a bit, how shall we say, challenging? The aptly named Home-Start Angels BROKE the frying pan (you know who you are Amanda!).

Despite a very impressive effort by Home-Cakes and Pan-Starts who hit the bulls eye, we had to admit defeat as their pancake fell off! We did fantastically in the obstacle course and made it through to the final, only to be pipped at the post by a super speedy boy from RAYDAR. Other wins followed in quick succession, but overall the winners were Enable Me from Littlehampton.

It was fantastic to see so many of the Home-Start team taking part and they all looked impressive in their pink t-shirts. I think everyone did themselves and us proud. As we now know the rules (there aren't any!) we are really looking forward to taking part again next year.

Thanks guys, you were AMAZING!
